Ricami Laura was born in 1990 thanks to the designer Gianfranco Ferré, who began to guide the growth and development of the company. Not only did the Architect of Fashion give the small embroidery factory his personal and indelible stamp but he also transformed it by calling it "my embroidery factory". The designer did not believe in obstacles in the creative process. He argued that everything could be embroidered; in fact, just as in the construction of architecture, embroidery should be the basis and structure of the dress. It was no longer a question of "just" embroidering clothes, but of "building" them through the use of embroidery.
This is how Ricami Laura becomes the place where Ferré's inspiration takes shape, where every stroke of his pen is replaced by embroidery material and applied to the fabric to recreate that first effect and that movement.
