Pellemoda, a company founded 40 years ago by Bruno Morelli, the father of Azzurra and Giampaolo, is the most convincing expression of Italian savoir faire. The company, with the latest branch Hostage, has a turnover of 66 million euro, currently employs more than 250 people gathered in the Empoli office which covers about 13,000 square meters, in the middle of an industrial district that still holds assets of sensibilities and experiences handed down for generations.
Thanks to constant investments, Pellemoda and Hostage have over the years equipped themselves with the latest generation of machines working alongside the artisans and seamstresses. With a historical archive of over 6,000 items, Pellemoda / Hostage is a full-cycle company and produces fabric, leather and fur collections for the most important Italian and foreign luxury houses.
Always sensitive to issues such as the environment and sustainability, in 2013 the company started an intense and articulated path that allowed it to obtain important certifications such as the SA8000: 2014, ISO 14001: 2015 and ISO 18001 2018. To date, Pellemoda is strongly committed to involving the entire supply chain to comply with the ZDHC protocol, aimed at gradually eliminating the hazardous chemicals used in the various production processes.
