Sustainability in fashion and organic certification
At ORIGIN PASSION AND BELIEFS, space is given to the world of certifications with the conference organized by CNA Federmoda
The theme of sustainability in the textile world is among the hottest in recent years. In fact, between biological and sustainability, designers, companies and consumers ask themselves what the near future of the fashion world will be, with particular reference to the increasingly important certifications.
Federmoda, as part of the ORIGIN PASSION AND BELIEFS event, organizes the appointment entitled "Sustainability in fashion and organic certification", which will be held on Wednesday 10 July in the Opportunity Lounge of Hall 8 of the Fair of Milano Rho.
Numerous in-depth ideas will be discussed by the speakers, CNA Federmoda and CCPB srl, a control and certification body accredited by IOAS.
How can a company certify its commitment to research and the creation of sustainable products? The commitment to pursue a high level of safety for human health and a high degree of sustainability and environmental protection represent a trend that involves various sectors, from the agri-food sector to the cosmetic sector, up to the industry textile and fashion world.
Particularl attention to the textile sector, which represents a critical point for sustainability, based on two factors: large amounts of non-renewable resources extracted to produce short-lived garments and processes that lead to negative externalities of production and consumption whose causes are physical and chemical in nature, acting on ecosystems, biodiversity and human health in parallel.
In this context, the prospects lead to two production certifications: organic textiles (Global Organic Textile Standard or Organic Content Standard) and recycled textiles, with Global Recycle Standard or Recycled Claim Standard.
